HONG KONG, July 15 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Cyberport IncuTrain Centre (IncuTrain) announced the opening of recruitment for a new round of applications to incubate newly start-ups. The scope of the programme is now expanded to cover both Digital Entertainment Industry and Creative Lifestyle Content. Applications for both on-site and off-site incubation should be submitted on or before September 30, 2009. Vetting will be held in October 2009. For off-site incubation, applications are welcomed all year round. The next application deadline for off-site is on August 10, 2009 and vetting will be held at the end of August 2009. Established by the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, IncuTrain is a unique incubation base for developing digital entertainment and multimedia industries in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in 2005, IncuTrain aims to create a cluster for potential and creative start-ups digital entertainment companies to develop their business and to provide them with services and financial supports of all kinds. As of June 2009, total 139 applications have been received and 72 Incubatees companies have been admitted to IncuTrain, 40 of them have graduated and total 387 headcounts have been created. Due to the satisfactory outcome in the first phase, Innovation and Technology Fund allocated another 25 million funding to extend IncuTrain programme for another 3 years and the scope of the programme is also expanded to cover both Digital Entertainment Industry and Creative Lifestyle Content to benefit more start-ups in the industries.
