By integrating ZiPEG into SkyPBX, enterprise users can now use their existing desktop SIP/H.323 phone sets to make and to receive Skype calls all over the world via SkypeOut/SkypeIn/Skyper. ZiPEG, or ZiPCOM IP Enterprise Gateway, runs in dual mode for both SIP and H.323 protocols. ZiPEG offers many models to fit different requirements. ZiPEG-4004 offers 4 SIP/H.323 ports to SkyPBX and 4 LAN ports for IP-Phones. ZiPEG-GK4000 offers additional built-in Gatekeeper for H.323 networks. Integration of ZiPEG with SkyPBX provides multi-channels which allow many simultaneous calls between SIP/H.323 and Skype. The unique technology to generate and to detect global call progress tones (dial tone, busy tone, etc.) makes SkyPBX compatible to most IP-PBX, such as Cisco’s Call Manager, Asterisk, etc. SkyPBX works perfectly with IVR and auto attendant system to detect the DTMF signals and to route calls correctly for Skype-to-Skype, SkypeIn or SkypeOut calls. SkyPBX offers advanced management features such as call recording, monitoring, call detailed records (CDR) to allow more central network control.
